Built around an Altera Cyclone II FPGA, the Carnivore2 combines several MSX expansion functions in a single cartridge. It includes FlashROM, a CompactFlash storage interface with the Nextor ROM built in, a 1 MB RAM mapper, 720 KB MegaRAM, SCC, SCC+, FM-PAC with the MSX Music ROM and backup RAM support, and a PSG.
Each function can be enabled or disabled independently using the configuration software, allowing you to combine features as needed.
Cartridge configurations can be saved in the onboard flash memory and loaded directly from the boot menu. The boot menu also lets you select any ROM stored in the cartridge’s flash memory.
The Carnivore2 includes the Nextor DOS ROM, which becomes available when the CompactFlash (IDE) interface is enabled. Nextor is fully compatible with MSX-DOS 2 and adds useful features such as native FAT16 support and virtual floppy disks through .DSK image mounting.

Note: When the cartridge is configured as SCC+, all the rest of the features (IDE, RAM, SCC, Flash ROM and FM pack) will be disabled.
To receive a replacement or refund, defective units must first be returned to us for inspection. Once the item has been examined, we will repair, replace, or refund it as appropriate.
Products that have been damaged through improper use, careless handling, or any modification made by the buyer are not eligible for warranty service, replacement, or refund.
