The FDC-600 is a floppy disk controller for MSX computers. It allows you to connect up to two standard PC floppy drives using a regular floppy ribbon cable, with no modifications required.
The FDC-600 supports double-density 3.5-inch floppy drives (360 KB or 720 KB), is compatible with Gotek floppy drive emulators running HxC firmware, and also works with 5.25-inch floppy drives.
It is compatible with MSX-DOS and includes Disk BASIC v1.1 in ROM. MSX-DOS requires at least 64 KB of RAM.
The cartridge is supplied in a professionally manufactured black cartridge case and is compatible with MSX, MSX2, MSX2+, and Turbo R systems.
Important: Connected floppy drives must support double-density (DD) operation and must be powered externally.
