This product is built to order and takes approximately 6 weeks to be assembled, tested, and ready for shipping.
The MiSTress 600 is an I/O board designed to install a MiSTer FPGA system inside an Amiga 600 case while using the original A600 keyboard as the input device.
The keyboard LEDs can be used as activity indicators (depending on the core), and the keyboard controller is compatible with QMK, allowing you to customize key layouts, layers, and macros. The default keyboard firmware also provides shortcuts for common MiSTer functions and access to a virtual numeric keypad.
The board includes 3D-printed mounting supports for installation inside the A600 case, and no case modifications are required. Mounting points for an internal 2.5-inch SSD or hard drive are also provided.
The external connections available on the back of the A600 case are: HDMI, power jack, analog VGA/RGB, SD card slot, three USB ports, audio output, two DB9 joystick ports compatible with Sega Mega Drive controllers, the User I/O port (USB 3.0 connector), and Ethernet. The board also includes a mechanical power switch.
Internal connections include two USB ports, the A600 keyboard membrane connector, a secondary SD card slot, and a fan header.
The kit includes a USB hub cable, Ethernet pass-through extension cable, internal power jack cable, back panel cover, and all required mounting screws, washers, nuts, and 3D-printed mounting parts.
The MiSTress 600 is fully compatible with the Terasic DE-10 Nano. It can also be used with Mister-Pi (Taki Udon) and QM-Tech DE-10 Nano compatible boards, although some workarounds are required. At this time, we can guarantee full compatibility only with the original Terasic DE-10 Nano. For more information, please refer to the DE-10 Clonescompatibility document.
The Terasic DE-10 Nano, Amiga 600 case, and A600 keyboard are not included with the kit. HDMI and Ethernet extension cables are not included, and no cooling fan is supplied.
A floppy drive bezel with an SD card extension is available separately in the Accessories section.
Please note that Atari, Commodore 64, and Amiga joysticks that require +5 V on the DB9 port for turbo or autofire functions are not supported on the integrated joystick ports.
